Free guided tour of the Tranekær Art Route
Guided art tour in Tranekær with coffee
Discover art in the natural surroundings of Tranekær Castle
Join us on a special guided tour through TICKON – Tranekær International Centre for Art and Nature. The route takes you through the castle park and forest, where large contemporary artworks are placed directly in the landscape. Art, nature and cultural heritage come together as the guide tells you about the works and their location in the surroundings.
An open-air art museum
The artists behind the works use natural materials to create pieces that will eventually decay and disappear. The tour provides insight into sustainability, changeability and the artistic ideas behind the individual installations. All this can be experienced in the unique Tranekær environment with its castle, forest and historical traces from the Ice Age.
Coffee and cake served by volunteers
After the walk, a warm cup of coffee and cake await you in the Medicinal Gardens barn. Here you can relax and digest your impressions. The barn is equipped with patio heaters so you can stay warm with your coat on, but remember to dress for the weather.
