Mythical creatures – experience the magic of winter in Tranekær Castle Park

A sensory walk for children and their adults

In the atmospheric Tranekær Castle Park, children (aged 5–13) and their adults are invited on a special sensory walk through the winter landscape. The experience lasts about an hour and takes place outdoors among the old trees and sculptures of the forest. Here, the imagination is brought to life in an encounter with five poetic scenes, each symbolising the soul of winter: silence, cold, hope, hibernation and rebirth.

Interactive encounters with mythical creatures

Along the way, the group is led by a guide who takes you safely through the castle park. During the route, there are small performances and sensory encounters with winter's mythical creatures – some are simply to be observed, while others you can help to awaken. It is an experience where nature, storytelling and play merge.

Tranekær – a castle town full of stories

Mythical creatures takes place at TICKON – Tranekær International Centre for Art and Nature – located in the middle of the castle town of Tranekær. The park is part of the historic Tranekær Castle, and the surroundings exude history and tranquillity. Here, it is easy to find time for contemplation and a desire for community – for both children and adults.
