Shrovetide and creative play at Langeland Library

Make masks, decorations and costumes

At Langeland Library, there is a Shrovetide atmosphere during the winter holidays! The children's library invites children and their adults to enjoy fun days of creative play. At the craft table, you can make beautiful masks and decorations – or get inspiration for homemade costumes from books filled with great ideas.

Fancy dress and carnival atmosphere

There are plenty of opportunities to dive into your imagination with fun accessories and creative expressions. An obvious opportunity to get ideas for this year's carnival party or just enjoy a cosy time with cutting, gluing and colours.

We are rolling out our craft table:

Saturday 31 January, 10am-1pm

Saturday 7 February, 10am-1pm

Saturday 14 February, 10am-1pm

And Monday-Friday during the winter holidays, 10am-2pm.

Experiences nearby

Once you have been to the library, Rudkøbing offers plenty of opportunities to continue your experiences. Take a walk through the old town with its cobbled streets and charming shops, visit Langelands Museum or relax with a packed lunch in the library's immediate vicinity. You are never far from the coast – perhaps a trip to the harbour?

Practical information

The library is easily accessible for both prams and wheelchair users. It is centrally located in Rudkøbing and can be easily reached on foot, by bike or by public transport. The creative activities are free and open on selected days during the winter holidays – and no registration is required.
