A personal artistic world

The exhibition ‘Børges Værelse’ provides an intimate insight into the life and art of artist Børge Christiansen. Here you will not find a traditional white gallery, but a room filled with his belongings, recycled items, poems, three-dimensional paintings and sculptures. It is art created from found materials – e.g. old boards, slate, scrap metal – transformed into colourful and imaginative works.

Everyday life as art — with recycling and storytelling

Børge Christiansen worked sustainably with recycling: he found things on the street, in containers or elsewhere, and gave them new life through painting, sculpture and poetry. The things you thought you knew from everyday life — old bowls, boards, boxes, everyday objects — have been transformed into meaningful art in his hands.

Combine with a trip to Lohals and Langeland

After an experience in ‘Børges Værelse’, it is obvious to take a walk in Lohals' cosy streets, visit the harbour, enjoy nature by the forest or beach — or take a short trip around Langeland. It provides a nice balance between creative immersion and tranquillity, which fits well with a holiday on Langeland.
