Meet a local author up close
During the Geopark Days on Langeland, you can hear author Gustav Foss in a lively conversation with Charlotte Inuk from the Strynø Literary Society. This opens the door to thoughts, inspiration and life as a writer. The talk will take place at Korea Kaffebar, where the informal café atmosphere creates a relaxed setting for an inspiring cultural experience.
It is advisable to book a place in advance by telephone: (+45) 91 11 09 14
Admission 100 kr incl. coffee and a sweet treat.
A story with roots in Langeland
The conversation is based on the novel ‘The Bubble is a Sacred Symbol’, which has received excellent reviews. The story follows a man in his thirties who loses his footing in a hectic everyday life, whilst memories of his childhood on Langeland come flooding back. The novel moves between the familiar and the intense, offering a unique perspective on both identity and upbringing.
Nearby experiences
When you visit Korea Kaffebar, it’s a great idea to combine the talk with a tour of Langeland. Take a stroll through Rudkøbing’s charming streets, or explore the unique Ice Age landscape of the South Funen Archipelago Geopark.
The island’s short distances make it easy to experience culture, nature and the coast all in one day.
Practical information
The talk takes place indoors in a café setting with a relaxed atmosphere. The event is held in the afternoon and fits well into a day of exploring the island. We recommend booking your place in advance. The venue is accessible by both car and public transport, and the event is primarily aimed at adults and young people with an interest in literature.
Organised in collaboration with Strynø Literary Society (and timed so that Strynø residents can catch the last ferry home )
Supported by the Danish Arts Foundation
