Children's Culture Festival: BlæksprutteSjov in Lohals

14/10: BioKim visits Lohals with a creative workshop for children – featuring ink, squids and creative printing.

Ink, squids and exciting children's activities in Lohals

At the Children's Culture Festival during the autumn holidays, you can dive beneath the surface of the sea in Lohals – without getting your feet wet! Here, BioKim from the Kattegat Centre focuses on the wonderful world of squids in a creative and educational activity for the whole family.

BioKim dissects a large 10-armed squid and talks about its fascinating characteristics – from camouflage and intelligence to ink as a weapon of defence. Participants can get up close, touch the exciting sea creatures and watch as the squid's insides are revealed.

Make your own octopus print

After the dissection, it's time to unleash your creativity. In a gyotaku workshop, you can print beautiful octopus prints on tote bags to take home with you. You can also experiment with dried seahorses, mussel shells and other shapes from the sea.
