Exhibition of children's art at Langeland Museum

Discover weightless aeroplanes and graphic art created by children and artist Ann-Kerstina at Langelands Museum during the autumn holidays.

Experience the exhibition ‘From high above the sky to the bottom of the sea’

During the autumn holidays, you can experience a beautiful and lively exhibition at Langelands Museum in Rudkøbing, where imaginative paper planes unfold.

Graphic planes created by children and artists

The exhibition is the result of a series of creative workshops, where artist Ann-Kerstina Nielsen has collaborated with local after-school clubs on Langeland. The children have coloured, folded and printed on historical aeroplane models – and the result is a poetic and graphic installation of weightless cardboard and paper aeroplanes, which now float in the museum's historical setting.

An experience between art and history

The aeroplanes hang side by side with a giant propeller from World War II and the exhibition's presentation of the airspace above Langeland during the occupation. This creates an atmospheric encounter between the children's creativity and the museum's historical narratives – from high above the island to the bottom of the sea.
