Guided walking tour of Tranekær – history and atmosphere

A guided walking tour of Tranekær is the perfect way to experience one of Langeland’s most distinctive towns. Here, history comes to life as you wander through the charming streets and past the striking buildings.

Discover Tranekær castle town with a guide

Tranekær is known as a classic castle town with red-painted houses and a special atmosphere. The town has roots stretching far back in history and has developed around the estate and the castle. During the walking tour, you’ll gain an insight into the architecture, culture and the people who have left their mark on the area.

Stories from a living town

With a local guide, you’ll hear tales you wouldn’t discover on your own. These might be stories about life in the castle town, about ‘The General’ and the development of Tranekær as a unique town on Langeland. The town walk provides a good understanding of how the past and present are intertwined.
