Glimt 2025: fish-anxious
1/11-14/12 The work casts a sombre light on Denmark's endangered fish species and the ecological anxiety that accompanies them.
fish-anxious combines sculptural forms with AI-generated images to create a deeply unsettling experience. Mutated fish forms swim across the surfaces as a visually striking reminder of the scale of the climate crisis.
The work invites the audience to confront a future in which the balance of nature is disintegrating and asks the question: What are we willing to do to change course?
The artists
The work was created by Frederik Lauenborg, Gabriela Valenzuela-Luczynska, Karl-Emil Bengtson & Karthik Mourougane in a collective of students from the Graphic Communication Design master's programme at the Royal Academy. The work is rooted in experimental approaches and driven by the desire to communicate ideas that challenge traditional forms of communication. By combining technological advances with artistic methods and speculation, the boundaries between design and art are explored.
