Literature at Langeland Library in Rudkøbing invites you to a unique literary experience where nature, literature and community come together. The theme of this tour is the healing power of nature – a topic that many authors have explored through stories about tranquillity, contemplation and life in nature. On the tour, literature is set in motion as participants walk through the town and out into the surrounding countryside.

LitteraTUR combines movement and contemplation. The tour takes place at a leisurely pace, with participants walking through Rudkøbing and the surrounding area while literature unfolds along the way. At the same time, participants also get inspiration for the library's many offerings, such as e-books, audiobooks, events and reading communities.

When the tour starts at Langeland Library in Rudkøbing, there are plenty of experiences to be had in the area. The historic market town offers charming streets and small squares where you can explore after the tour. Langeland is located in the middle of the UNESCO Global Geopark South Funen Archipelago, a landscape shaped by the Ice Age with coasts, islands and unique natural habitats. LitteraTUR starts at Langeland Library in Rudkøbing and takes the form of a group walk with readings and conversations along the way. Participants must be able to walk at a normal pace. It is recommended that you wear good footwear and clothing suitable for the weather. The walk is for anyone with an interest in literature, nature and enjoyable shared experiences. The library is centrally located in Rudkøbing and can be reached on foot, by bicycle, by car and by public transport. The area around the library has good access.
