In 2025, the atmosphere of Fredskoven will move into the heart of Rudkøbing when Picnic in the Park is held for the first time in the green surroundings of H.C. Ørstedsparken. Rudkøbing Musikforening invites you to a relaxed day with good music, fellowship and summer atmosphere - in the centre of town and close to everything.
Jens Billingsø
Jens Billingsø combines whimsical lyricism and strong fingerstyle playing in an acoustic universe that draws on roots, blues and folk. His songs contain both humour and reflection, and he balances sharp social observations with the subtleties of everyday life.
Johnny Madsen - For Fa'en
Here you get Johnny Madsen's songs served with both soul and swagger. The band For Fa'en captures the tone, energy and not least the attitude of Madsen's musical universe. Frontman Flemming Rothmann doesn't just sound like Madsen - he looks like him too.
Wild Wax Combo
Wild Wax Combo brings party and speed to the park with their exuberant mix of rockabilly, rock'n'roll and charming audience flirtation. They have over 20 years of experience, a wealth of releases and international concerts behind them.
Practical information
As always, the concerts are free and there will be a limited number of tables and benches set up - so it's a good idea to arrive early and bring a blanket. You are welcome to bring your own food, and cold drinks will be available at the bar as well as sausages, coffee and home baking.
The event takes place on 5 July at 13-18 in H.C. Ørstedsparken at Havnegade 92.
