Discover honey and bees at the Langeland Beekeepers’ Association

See how honey is extracted

At the Langeland Beekeepers’ Association, you can get up close to the work at the Visitor Apiary and see how honey goes from the hive to the jar. Here, the process is demonstrated in an engaging and family-friendly way, so that both children and adults can learn more about the important work of bees.

The Tranekær Visitor Apiary features an exhibition on bees and beekeeping, where you can learn more about the life of bees, pollination and the role bees play in nature. The site also has a bee- and insect-friendly garden, which offers inspiration on how to make your own garden more attractive to bees and other insects.

The event is ideal for curious visitors who’d like to experience something local and down-to-earth whilst on holiday on Langeland. It’s not just about honey, but also about nature, education and a good chat with people who are passionate about bees and beekeeping.
