Food & Market at Langeland Boarding School
Come along to the open day at Langelands Efterskole in Rudkøbing, featuring mussels, seaweed, campfire food, honey and creative activities for the whole family.

Culinary experiences at Langelands Efterskole in Rudkøbing
The sea, the campfire and local produce take centre stage when Langelands Efterskole in Rudkøbing invites you to ‘Vores Sted’. Here, you can get up close to produce from both the harbour and the school’s own surroundings, and join in as they become part of the day’s activities.
From mussels and seaweed to food cooked over an open fire
The experience begins at the harvesting tower by the marina in Rudkøbing. Mussels and seaweed are cultivated here, which are then used in the day’s programme. This offers the chance to experience the connection between the South Funen Archipelago, the produce and the food that is prepared. Back at Langelands Efterskole, the campfire is lit. Here, you can take part in cooking over an open fire and experience how ingredients can come together to form a meal and a sense of community.
Honey from the school’s bees
The culinary experience doesn’t stop at the campfire. The school’s own bees provide honey, which is used to make creams. Together with the creative activities, this offers the chance to taste, create and get hands-on.
A meeting place for food and community
The workshop at Vores Sted serves as the centre for weekly activities at Langelands Efterskole. During open days, the venue provides the setting for a cosy day where food, nature, creativity and community come together.
