Children’s Culture Festival: ‘The Bench’ – children’s theatre for slightly older children

The little moments and big emotions of everyday life

An elderly lady sits down on her usual bench in the park. She wants to be left alone. But all around her, life is buzzing: a man with his newspaper, a boy on a skateboard, chirping birds and a curious dog. She guards ‘her’ bench and does everything she can to keep life at bay.

But behind her grumpy exterior lies something vulnerable, and the old lady slowly realises that these unexpected encounters can lead to a connection – perhaps even a friendship – she didn’t know she was missing.

Age group: 6–10-year-olds

Time: Wednesday 14 October at 11.00

Venue: Borgerhuset, Ahlefeldtsgade 13, 5900 Rudkøbing

Free, but booking is required via the library’s website. You must book for both children and any accompanying adults. Please note which of the two time slots you have registered for. Remember to cancel your booking with the library if you are unable to attend, so that someone else can benefit from the place.
