Christmas in Rudkøbing – a charming Christmas market in Torvet

Two days of local delights and genuine Christmas cheer

On Saturday 5th and Saturday 12th December, from 10.00 to 14.00, Torvet in Rudkøbing will be transformed into a cosy Christmas market, where you can explore stalls brimming with handmade goods, festive treats and creative gift ideas.

Here you’ll find everything from ceramics and knitwear to honey, soaps, arts and crafts, and freshly baked Christmas treats – presented by passionate craftspeople, producers and creative enthusiasts, all of whom help to create that very special Christmas atmosphere at Torvet.

Shops and cafés are open and getting into the Christmas spirit

Rudkøbing’s shops are open on both Saturdays from 9.30 am to 2 pm, so there’s plenty of opportunity to find Christmas presents and explore the town’s charming high street.

Along the way, you can take a break and enjoy warm æbleskiver from Charlottes Køkken, whilst the scent of roasted almonds wafts across Torvet. Here you can also buy a bag of those crisp, sweet almonds and soak up the authentic Christmas atmosphere.

Round off the festive fun with music at Bio Langeland

When the Christmas market closes, you can continue the festive spirit at Bio Langeland, which offers two musical Christmas experiences:

• Saturday 5 December at 3.00 pm: Experience André Rieu’s 2026 Christmas Concert: Let It Snow on the big screen.
• Saturday 12 December at 3.00 pm: Get into the Christmas spirit with the live concert Julen har Englelyd.
