Creative Workshop: Lighting Design – Glimt

What would a light art installation look like if you were completely free to decide for yourself?

The Langeland Visitor Centre invites children and young people to a creative workshop in Rudkøbing, where imagination runs free. Here, you can help come up with ideas for new light art installations to be exhibited at this year’s Glimt Light Festival.
Using a variety of materials, you can experiment with shapes, colours and structures to create your very own miniature artwork. These small pieces will serve as inspiration and a starting point for larger artworks that can be experienced at Glimt this winter.
Perhaps you have an idea for a sculpture that glows in the dark? Or a fun shape that casts interesting shadows? There’s room to think big, even if you’re building small.

At the workshop, you’ll have the chance to learn more about light art and explore how light can transform a work of art.
A variety of materials will be available so you can try out your ideas and experiment with your own artistic expression.
You don’t need to have tried your hand at art before. The most important thing is that you’re keen to be creative and share your ideas.
