Geopark Dage on Langeland
Experience outdoor activities, local food and new knowledge about the local natural, cultural and geological history
Geopark Days: Celebrating nature, community and change
Geopark Days is an annual celebration of the South Funen Archipelago and its unique status as a UNESCO Global Geopark. The four South Funen municipalities - Ærø, Langeland, Faaborg-Midtfyn and Svendborg - invite you to an extended weekend filled with activities and experiences during the Ascension holiday.
Geopark Days is your opportunity to experience the South Funen Archipelago with new eyes. Here you step directly into a living story about the interplay between geology, culture and everyday life. The event takes place during the Ascension holiday and offers a wealth of experiences for both young and old.
The South Funen geopark embraces a unique landscape shaped by the forces of the Ice Age and the long-standing presence of mankind. Geopark Days is a celebration of everything that makes the area special: nature, history and, not least, community.
A landscape full of life and learning
During Geopark Days, the entire geopark becomes a living stage with guided tours, workshops, flavours, exhibitions and activities for children and adults. You can follow the traces of the Ice Age through the landscape, taste local produce and hear stories from those who live and work in the area.
The event is created in collaboration with local organisations, associations and enthusiasts who work all year round to protect and communicate the values of the geopark. The theme ‘Visit, Move and Enrich’ sets the stage for an experience where you learn something new, feel the power of nature and become part of the local community.
