Geopark: Tryggelev Cove and Nørreballe Cove

Former low-lying land areas that were flooded during the Holocene sea level rise.

Nørreballe Nor may have once been a low-lying terrain filled with dead ice, from which meltwater created a channel towards what is now Tryggelev Nor.

Today, the area has been dammed and consists mostly of low meadows and wetlands - however, a pipe through the dam has re-established some connection to the sea.

Several smaller hat hills border the area.
