On North Langeland, you’ll find the Orangery in Snøde – a green meeting place created to foster a sense of community and a love of nature. The venue invites locals and visitors alike to come together for nature-based activities and social events all year round.

A place for experiences and creativity

The Orangery offers a wide range of activities where nature takes centre stage. Take part in communal meals, where the menu features produce foraged locally, or try your hand at making honey from heather and pressing fruit from the surrounding beds and trees. For the active, the area offers petanque courts, table tennis and a campfire site for cosy evenings.

Recycled materials and planting

The Orangery has been built using, amongst other things, recycled materials, such as reused bricks. The planting has been selected and laid out with a view to providing food and habitats for insects and birds, amongst others.

The Orangery is open to both locals and visitors seeking an oasis for relaxation, contemplation and community. Whether you come to take part in an activity or simply to enjoy the tranquillity of nature, you are always welcome in Snøde.

The Orangery opened in 2024 and was built with support from, amongst others, the Nordea Foundation, LOA, LAG and local associations.
