Podcast: Sounds of the Dutchman's House

History of the people who worked in the forests and the Devil's Stone from the Bronze Age.

Today, Hollænderhuset is the practical and historical hub for the public forests on North Langeland.
In the exhibition, you can explore the stories hidden in the old forests.

Listen to historian and museum curator Jeppe Jøhn Hørsholm tell stories about the small half-timbered house here in the state-owned forests.

Activity

Take a walk through Vestre Stigtehave. Head west, where you will find the sea. On your way, you may find holes from the excavation of clay for brick burning.

Find the curly beech tree, which comes into its own at the edge of the forest down towards the water.

It is particularly cosy here to light a fire at the well-equipped campfire site, where there is ample opportunity to cook a good meal over the embers.
