Join us for an open and creative workshop in Rudkøbing, where local artists Henriette Lorentz and Hans Kjær invite you to create art from recycled plastic.

The theme is the sea and the coastlines around Langeland, and the material is plastic, which is given a new lease of life in colourful works of art. The works will form part of ‘Luminous Tales from Langeland’ and will later help to light up the island during ‘Light in the Dark’ and ‘Glimt’.

Bring your own plastic waste

You’re very welcome to bring clean, hard plastic waste from home. This could include, for example, plastic lids, tubs, trays, containers and bottles – preferably in different colours.

Plastic found in the natural environment can also be used, as long as it is clean. At the workshop, the materials will be transformed into art together with Henriette Lorentz and Hans Kjær.

A workshop for everyone

The workshop is open to everyone, so do pop in and help create a small part of the shared story of Langeland, the sea and the coast.

The project has been created in collaboration between Langelands Museum, VisitLangeland and the artists, and is supported by Kulturregion Fyn.

When you visit Rudkøbing, you can combine the workshop with a stroll through the old market town. Explore the charming streets, experience the harbour atmosphere or pop into the town’s shops and cultural attractions.

Practical information

The workshop takes place on 15 October from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm in Baggården at the Langeland Visitor Centre in Rudkøbing. Please bring clean, hard plastic waste in various colours.
