TÅGELAND at Bagenkop Kunsthal – an art exhibition featuring ceramics and photography
A sensory encounter between darkness, nature and mythology
TÅGELAND at Bagenkop Kunsthal is an atmospheric art exhibition created in collaboration between Mia Zebitz Larsen and Vibeke Trolle. Here, photography and ceramics come together in a tranquil, sensory universe where the forces of nature, Nordic darkness and traces of mythology are given space to unfold.
Photography with a quiet presence
The photographs explore Nordic darkness and the special tranquillity that arises when the pace slows. The motifs do not seek the spectacular, but find their strength in the subdued and the present. This gives the exhibition a contemplative atmosphere, where you can explore what lies between light, shadow and silence.
Ceramic figures rooted in nature
The ceramic works draw connections to mythology and humanity’s bond with nature. Several of the sculptures are inspired by the four elements: fire, water, earth and air. Together with the photographs, the ceramics create an expression where materials, forms and narratives intertwine closely.
Art in Bagenkop on South Langeland
Bagenkop Kunsthal is situated in Langeland’s southernmost harbour town, where art, the harbour and nature are closely intertwined. The exhibition TÅGELAND fits beautifully into the area, where coastal landscapes, open horizons and the distinctive light of South Langeland provide a fine setting for an art experience with time for contemplation.
