‘EJNO’ was built in Frederikshavn in 1898 for the pilot service in Slipshavn near Nyborg as a pure sailing vessel named ‘Nyborg’. However, the first engine was installed as early as 1906.
The boat remained in Slipshavn until 1950, when it was sold to Rudkøbing Pilot Service and christened ‘EJNO’.
In Rudkøbing, the boat served as a pilot boat until 1991, when it was sold to the sailing ship association ‘EJNO under sejl’, which had it restored to its original appearance.
Admission is free.
Weather permitting, you can see the most amazing sunset from Pakhuset.
