A WORLD OF PLASTIC - Trabant, Kalashnikov and GDR

Join us for a colourful opening with plastics, politics and propaganda at Langelands Museum - and take home a GDR goodie bag!

Exhibition opening at Langelands Museum

On Friday 11 April at 14:00-16:00, Langelands Museum invites you to the opening of the new special exhibition: ‘A WORLD OF PLASTIC - Trabant, Kalashnikov and GDR.’

Plastic with a political patina

The exhibition takes you on a journey through the cultural history of plastic - from the GDR's creative use of plastic in everything from cars to weapons, to today's debate on plastic as an environmental problem.

Fun, nostalgia and GDR goodie bags

Although the theme may sound ‘brown’, the exhibition promises plenty of colour, surprises and food for thought. The first 40 guests will receive a goodie bag with unique GDR-inspired surprises.
