Focussing on conversations - on Langeland
The word bramfri comes from HC Ørsted's dictionary, one of 2500 words he created.
You can experience Music, talks and a tribute to H.C. Ørsted's legacy - both scientific and intangible - is part of the programme.
You can follow the development of this year's festival at www.bramfrifestival.dk
A communal meal with great food and conversation
As part of the Bramfri Festival, you’re invited to a communal meal in Ørstedsparken in Rudkøbing. Here, the island’s residents and visitors gather around a meal that offers a chance to enjoy good food, cosy company and wide-ranging conversations.
The menu centres on a whole suckling pig roasted over an open fire and charcoal, and there is also a vegetarian option. Throughout the event, the focus will be on Langeland’s culinary culture through the ages and on how the meal can spark dialogue about community, resources and the future of Denmark.
This communal meal is a natural extension of the Bramfri Festival’s tribute to H.C. Ørsted’s curiosity, ingenuity and intangible legacy. Book your ticket here
