Jacob Tekiela - visual artist
Art you want to touch – experience Jacob Tekiela's sensory works in Rifbjerg
Art at the intersection of technology and nature
"I collect the world in small pieces. A piece of driftwood, an ornament from a folk costume, a weathered leaf. Everything is interpreted and recreated in a rich, tactile universe where laser and thread work side by side. With my gaze sharply focused on the close, the sensual and the overlooked, I create works where the ordinary becomes extraordinary," says Jacob Tekiela about his artistic universe.
His works are hybrid creatures: half handmade, half generated – with generative algorithms, coded embroidery and nature's own structures as co-creators. This is art you want to touch, explore and marvel at.
