After the film, you can meet the couple and the film’s director, Torben Glarbo, for a conversation about art, culture, nature and their outlook on life.
A life together with art and nature
Kirsten Klein and Steen Folmer Jensen live and work by Dråby Vig on Nordmors. For more than 50 years, they have shared not only their lives and their art, but also a close connection to the nature around them.
The documentary film *A Life of Connection* paints an intimate portrait of the two artists and their shared daily lives. The film explores Kirsten Klein’s photographic universe and the interplay between nature, creativity and connection that characterises their lives.
Director Torben Glarbo shot the film on analogue 16 mm film throughout all the seasons of the year. With particular attention to the light and the changing landscape, the film reflects the approach to nature that also characterises Kirsten Klein’s often black-and-white photographs.
