Three short films and a discussion with the producers

The Ørsted Pavilion in Rudkøbing invites you to a screening of three short films produced by M&M Productions: Remember My Name, Bloom and Snipped. After each film, the producer duo Kim Magnusson and Rebecca Pruzan will answer questions from the audience.

17.00 – Remember My Name

A teddy bear. A child. A war. And the quiet heroism of ordinary people.

During the Nazi occupation, Mo the teddy bear is snatched away from the child he has just learnt to love and is forced to flee to Sweden. Through Mo’s eyes, the film depicts a child’s perspective on war, rescue and the quiet heroism of ordinary people in extraordinary times.

Based on the director’s own family history.

17.45 – Bloom

Following his wife’s death, 80-year-old Niels reveals a lifelong secret that shatters his daughter’s world. As grief turns to anger, their relationship hangs by a thread. Now Niels must face up to the past – and the risk of losing what remains.

18.30 – Snipped

A Jewish convert. A Muslim doctor. One holy snip – and a whole lot of tension.

A Jewish convert is about to undergo his circumcision, but with no Jewish doctor in the area, the procedure must be carried out by the local Muslim urologist. A comedy about prejudice, showing how religious rituals can forge connections across faiths.
