
Art at Glimt in Tranekær
Under Langeland's unique dark night sky, you can experience light installations and works of art that create new perspectives. The artists use the darkness as a backdrop and invite you to experience both nature and darkness in a new way.

In TICKON and Medicinhaverne in Tranekær, you can enjoy the following free of charge every day from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.:
Glimt 2025: Soleil Nuit
1/11-14/12 During the day, light dances on the mirrors, creating vivid explosions of colour. At night, the work shines like a star.
Glimt 2025: Tordenhjerte
1/11-14/12 Magnificent and vibrant sculpture that combines light, sound and atmospheric intensity.
Glimt 2025: fish-anxious
1/11-14/12 The work casts a sombre light on Denmark's endangered fish species and the ecological anxiety that accompanies them.
Glimt 2025: Doppler
1/11-14/12 Doppler is an interactive light and sound installation that plays with movement, shadow and sound.
Glimt 2025: Bamboo-Light-Construction
1/11-14/12 In the Medicine Gardens, Bamboo-Light-Construction rises like a luminous sculpture, combining the natural elegance of bamboo with light and video effects.
TICKON: Love Motel for Insects, Brandon Ballengée
Brandon Ballengées work is only exhibited on special occasions and is best experienced after sunset.

‘Tranekær-varder’ (the Tranekær Cairn) shows how land art retains its aesthetic integrity, even through the process of decay

Antti Ylönen’s boulder, that peeks through a crack in the side of a wooded hilltop.

A light festival powered by green electricity
The electricity used during Glimt in TICKON and Medicinhaverne is green electricity supplied by Ø/strøm.
Wind turbines cover 164% of Langeland's electricity consumption. The island is self-sufficient, while also supplying electricity to the rest of Denmark.
