RUM SØ Café & Cultural Centre
A charming café and small cultural centre at Bagenkop Harbour – where good coffee, rustic food and maritime surroundings come together

RUM SØ in Bagenkop – a café and cultural centre with a harbour atmosphere
A former fisherman’s cottage given a new lease of life
RUM SØ in Bagenkop has been created in a former fisherman’s cottage on the harbour, where the venue’s maritime history is still palpable in the atmosphere. The setting is intimate and cosy, giving RUM SØ a calm and personal atmosphere that is perfect for a break at Bagenkop Harbour.
A café with a taste for the simple and good
At RUM SØ, the focus is on good coffee, rustic food and something nice in your glass. The venue emphasises a relaxed café experience, where the view of the harbour is an important part of the visit. This makes RUM SØ an obvious stop when travelling to Bagenkop and southern Langeland.
A small-scale cultural centre
RUM SØ is not just a café, but also Denmark’s Smallest Cultural Centre, offering space for community and experiences. The venue is linked to a cultural association and provides a setting for events such as communal dining, talks and concerts. This gives RUM SØ a distinctive profile for guests who wish to experience the atmosphere, local culture and life at the harbour in Bagenkop.
Nearby experiences
A visit to RUM SØ can easily be combined with other experiences in Bagenkop and the surrounding area. Nearby you’ll find the maritime harbour environment, the unique natural surroundings of Gulstav Mose and Dovns Klint, the area around Klise Nor with its wild horses, and the Cold War Museum at Langelandsfort. The coastal landscape around Bagenkop is also part of the UNESCO Global Geopark South Funen Archipelago, which makes the area particularly exciting for visitors interested in nature, geology and coastal experiences.
Practical information
RUM SØ is located in the harbour area of Bagenkop, where it is easy to combine a visit to the café with a walk along the waterfront. A ramp has been installed at the entrance. However, access to the toilet is somewhat narrow. Bagenkop can be reached by public transport from the rest of Langeland, and there are plenty of opportunities to explore the area further on foot, by bike or by car.
