There are a number of areas on Langeland where nature is managed using cattle and wild horses, which live outdoors all year round. These animals aren’t fed are never or kept in a stable, but live free, eating wild plants that they find themselves.
At the beach you can find many things that you can make fun things out of. Try to collect seashells, tie them together with a string and hang them up like a fine wind chime. When it hangs and moves in the wind, you can hear the "sound of the beach".

The multi-purpose sports court by Rudkøbing Harbour (Skudehavn) is designed by architect Mette Tony in close collaboraion with young people from the area. The court was built in 2014.
For some 11,000 years the black squirrel has been Denmark’s “the king of the trees”. The black squirrel was once an endangered colour variant of the European red squirrel, but a “rescue mission” has now secured its survival. Today the black squirrel is thriving in the woodlands of North Langeland.
