In the southernmost art tower on Langeland – Art Tower 12 – Bjørn Eriksen invites you into his poetic and playful sound universe. Here you will not encounter traditional instruments, but homemade sound machines created from everything from bed bases and metal shot glasses to bellows. The tower, which has been given the title ‘The Bell Tower’, is a tribute to creativity, recycling and the unexpected paths of sound.

Bjørn Eriksen works with the contrast between chance and precision – and you will experience how something as simple as an untuned guitar can be the start of a musical journey. The Art Tower is not just a visual installation, but a space where you can almost hear the thoughts behind the work. The philosophy is simple: everything is sound, and everything can become music.

The Art Tower in Bagenkop is one of 12 transformed transformer stations that make up Denmark's longest art exhibition. Each tower artist has created a unique expression, and in Art Tower 12 you can clearly sense the personal touch and passion for sound, poetry and playing with form. Here you will find not only art, but a whole narrative in sounds and constructions.

When you visit Kunsttårn 12, you are close to several of South Langeland's natural treasures. Take a walk to Dovns Klint and see the wild horses at Gulstav Mose – one of the most unique natural areas in the UNESCO Global Geopark South Funen Archipelago. You can also stop by the Cold War Museum Langelandsfort or explore the cosy harbour environment of Bagenkop.

Kunsttårn 12 is located on the outskirts of Bagenkop and is easily accessible by car and bicycle. Admission is free, and the area around the tower is accessible for guests with prams or walking difficulties. Public transport stops in Bagenkop, from where the tower can be reached on foot.
