Tranekær combines art and nature: See the land art in TICKON Castle Park and look out for artworks in and around the castle town. The area is also home to many craftspeople, where you can discover ceramics, glassware, jewellery and other handmade items.

In and around Tranekær, art is a natural part of the experience – even when you’re simply taking a leisurely stroll through the castle town. In the castle grounds lies TICKON – Tranekær International Centre for Art and Nature, where you can experience Land Art created by Danish and international artists using natural materials that slowly change with the seasons.

You can also follow the art trail through the castle town, where art and nature blend seamlessly, allowing plenty of time for contemplation along the way. And so it makes perfect sense that Langeland is often referred to as the ‘Island of Artists’ – there is always something creative to look out for here, both in the open countryside and in the towns.
