In the charming fishing village of Bagenkop, craftsmanship is the common thread linking both the arts and the traditions of fishing.
The 4-kilometre art route takes you out along the coast, past the wild horses, through the rolling hills and back to safe harbour.
Along the route, you’ll find:
+ 8 artists and craftspeople
+ 10 works in public spaces
+ 1 art tower
Works along the route
The artworks on the Bagenkop Art Route have been created by both local and non-local artists. Some of the artworks have been donated to the island as gifts, some have been acquired by Langeland Municipality, whilst others have been created for a specific location on a particular occasion. There is great diversity in style, use of materials and scale. What the works have in common is that they are all situated in public spaces.
